Argentina Defeat Colombia To Win 16th Copa America Title

Argentina successfully defended their Copa America title with a 1-0 win against Colombia on Monday, July 15.

Argentina won the game, thanks to a late goal from substitute Lautaro Martinez, who scored after receiving a through ball from Giovani Lo Celso. This marked Argentina's 16th Copa America title.
Martinez, the tournament's top scorer, ran onto the ball and lifted his shot over advancing Colombia goalkeeper Camilo Vargas in the 112th minute. Argentina has now won three consecutive major titles, following their victories in the 2021 Copa America and 2022 World Cup.

Unfortunately, star player Lionel Messi was unable to finish the game due to an injury. He appeared to suffer a non-contact injury while running and falling in the 64th minute.
