Enyimba, Kano Pillars Record Massive Win As NPFL Resumes

By Obisike Felix Kennedy

As the Nigeria league 2024/2025 commences across the country, three away wins, three draws and three home wins were recorded today.
Enyimba Football Club began their premier league campaign with an impressive 3-1 away win against Heartland FC at Dan Anyim Stadium in Owerri. Notably, Enyimba fans dominated the stadium, creating an electric atmosphere that seemed like a home game. Kudos to the fans for their energy and support, which undoubtedly gave the team an advantage.

To the league organizers, LMC, we urge you to maintain professionalism throughout the 2024/2025 season. Last season was marred by politics, including point deductions and poor officiating, which denied Enyimba FC a deserved league title. We wish Enyimba FC the best for the upcoming season and encourage the management to continue their excellent work in keeping the team competitive.

The above results showed a promising start. Nigerian clubs have struggled in continental competitions in recent years, often due to the "home team must win" syndrome and poor officiating. Hopefully, today's positive atmosphere will continue throughout the league season.
